Internet Explorer allowed me to change the Temporary Internet Cache to my RAMdisk. How change my Firefox Temp files folder location?

Click'in on the Cookie folder image will allow you to set your cookie folder, finding it in

the default location. Using this option navigate to the "FOLDER" not the actual cookie

file. The word "Path" should remain as the File name:. Just click so the folder is at the

top box that says "Look in:" and click on Open.

This could be what you're looking for:

QUOTE("plodr")
1. Launch FF(v1) and  type about:config in the address bar
2. right-click anywhere in the window and select NEW->Integer
3. type in browser.cache.memory.capacity and click ok
4. type in 16000 and click ok

The above value represents 16MB of RAM. For some unknown reason, the default in v1 is 51MB! I've done this tweak on my 98SE, ME, and 2K computers and it is working fine.

QUOTE
    * Open Firefox
    * In the location bar, type about:config and hit enter
    * Right-click in the white-space, and choose New->String. Enter the name browser.cache.disk.parent_directory and click ok.</liL
    * In the next box, enter the full patch to the directory you want to store your cache in. Something like C:Documents and SettingsusernameLocal SettingsApplication DataMozillaFirefoxCache
    * Close Firefox.
    * Delete your old cache directories in C:Documents and SettingsusernameApplication DataMozillaFirefoxProfilessomething.username I actually had three directories in here with cache in the name. I deleted all three.
    * Restart Firefox. It will create the directory specified above, if it doesn't already exist.

This same technique can be used to move your cache to a larger or faster disk.

This changes the cache location.
