Hello, everyone!!!

I have recently downloaded the latest version of ''Open Web Spider''
(OpenWebSpider# v0.1.3) from here:

http://www.openwebspider.org/download

and have extracted the zip file, but when I looked into what I've got,
I could hardly figure out what to do. No ''install'' file or anything like
that.

Can anyone please tell me what I should do in order to start using it?

It seems that they've put the source code in that zip file... I see that it's C# code. If you have Microsoft Visual C# 2008 Express Edition (which is freeware) you could actually compile the code yourself.

Can you please tell me what it means to compile and why I need to compile it?

Let's say you have a small file with some code written in a language (C#, C++, Turbo Pascal...). When you compile it, the computer basically runs your code alerting you if it found some error or if everything is ok.
As far for OpenWebSpider, the executable is located in the bin folder, in the archive, so you don't need to compile the code yourself.
