Just in time for Christmas, EMSI Software has released "a-squared Free 4.0", a free tool designed to find and destroy viruses, Trojans, and spyware. Like the $39.90/year a-squared Anti-Malware 4.0, a-squared Free uses two separate scanning engines for comprehensive coverage of the malware spectrum.
"Four eyes are better than two. Better safe than sorry," said EMSI PR Manager Thomas Gnther. "Two searchers will always find more than one. What more can I say? Our freeware scanner is simply twice as thorough." The product is free for non-commercial use on any number of computers, and it will remain free in the long term. We tried a-squared Free a few weeks ago actually, god it was slow. It ran for something like 3 hours and still wasn't nearing the end. In the end I removed it

I had that problem with it been slow in the past.
Will give it a go and see how it works on this pc!. |

Used it and worked well...the long Scan took 35/40 minutes,and i have no problem with that.
Also found 5 things on my pc that were not picked up by my other Virus/Spyware set up!. 3/5 or 7/10 |

I might try it again, is it Vista 64 bit compatible do you know? -------------------- |
